Sebastian was nominated for an Olivier Award and WhatsOnStage Award for writing and directing the West End hit show, RATPACK LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS. He went on to direct the film for American television and twelve years later productions continue to play worldwide.
Noted for conceiving and staging concert tours in stadiums around the world; he has also directed large-scale arena productions of CHICAGO, FAME and EVITA throughout the Middle-East and Asia.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, his career has taken him from performer to director to producer having worked with Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Dame Gillian Lynne, Peter Hall Theatre Company, Sir Matthew Bourne and the maestro, Kurt Masur at the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
He was the director and choreographer of the OLIVIER AWARDS CEREMONY in 2003 and part of the BAFTA AWARD WINNING creative team behind the children’s animation series, YOKO JAKAMOTO TOTO.
Sebastian has collaborated with Paula Abdul in the USA to create a new entertainment, CHEER! for Broadway producers, Richard Frankel Productions and with Hiroaki Omote in Japan to generate SAVIOUR IV the multi media series.

In the UK, he produced, devised and directed, THE OPERA SHOW before launching a World Tour in 2010.
In 2007 he opened Kilworth House Theatre, England’s leading Open-Air Theatre with THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE and went on to direct fifteen landmark musicals. Establishing the venue’s reputation for sold out seasons year on year he left at the end of the 2015 to focus on his work internationally.
He collaborated with Stephen Schwartz on a radical re-staging of the musical, PIPPIN. Placing the action in the World of Video games it opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory in 2011. A new alternative ending was crafted by Sebastian and was later included in the 2013 Broadway revival.
In 2013 he co-wrote the book for a new Christmas musical, POR SIEMPRE NAVIDAD which opened in Bogota, Colombia. The following year he premiered his latest original work, EVOLUTION in Shenzhen, China. It combines circus performance, state-of-the-art video technology and dance to create an immersive experience to an original score of house music.
Sebastian, returned to Bogota, Colombia to direct the national premier of THE SOUND OF MUSIC in 2015; Breaking all box office records it remains the longest running musical production in Colombia. A new musical of PETER PAN premiered in 2016 in Bogota for which he wrote the book. Directed and choreographed by Sebastian it enjoyed a successful run.

A WEST END revival of RATPACK LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS played the Haymarket Theatre Royal in 2017/18 and is now on a National Tour of UK and Ireland.

He was nominated for a BROADWAY WORLD AWARD for his work choreographing MAMMA MIA at The Ordway Centre for Performing Arts in the Twin Cities, Minnesota and more recently directed and choreographed the first regional production of MATILDA at Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago.
